The Grand Canyon
Point Sublime, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona: The Grand Canyon is a really, really hard place to photograph. It’s one of the places where the whole “photos don’t do it justice” is completely true. The awe inspiring part about the Grand Canyon is its size and what it feels like to stand right on the edge. As a side note, after having gone to the North Rim and getting to experience the rim without all of the tourists, guardrails, and hotels, I can confidently say that I don’t think I’ll ever be frequenting the South Rim. That is one thing that made Point Sublime such an incredible experience: it was just me, myself, and the largest hole in the ground on the planet. At any rate, I’ll leave the pictures to the professionals. I just wanted everyone to see the view from my campsite.
I dont mind making this one full screen. The road to Point Sublime. 18 miles off-road. There’s two routes you can take with one being WAY harder than the other. The easier one starts outside of the park — I forgot what that campground is called.

This picture needs to be wide. So, the hike from Cottonwood Campground back up to the North Rim is absolutely brutal. It may have been the hardest hike of my life. It’s 7 miles long, and you gain about 5000 feet in elevation. It’s insane. I was trying to keep a solid pace but also wanted to enjoy the beauty. I don’t remember exactly where this was taken, but there were many moments like this. Completely out of breath and your legs feeling like cement, you turn around and just go, “Holy shit.”
